It takes 4.3 quarts. It's in the back of the manual under the ';capacities'; section.Car Oil Change Monte Carlo....Amount.?
i am canadian! put in 3 quarts and a half , check after 10 mins. you:l see how high it is .it should be at the add line .add a half a quart.and your good!
I think it takes 5 quarts with the filter. You can check at the parts store when you go buy your oil and filter.
I don't know where these people are getting 6-8 quarts. They hold just under 5.
I own a 2001 bonneville with a 3.8 it will be the same.
look in the owners book the car cant have more than 8 quarts so i think you could do it your self easy for 20 bucks
Check in your owners manuel if you have it. If not call your dealer or a repair shop and they will be able to tell you.
