Why is my car surging after an oil change? 2000 Escort zx2?

I took it to get an oil change -- they took the air filter out but did not change (I told them I would do it). Now my car is idling high, then low low, almost stalling, then back up to 2 or so, at a stop light. Please help!Why is my car surging after an oil change? 2000 Escort zx2?
Look for a component in the air tube going to the intake manifold. I'll bet the wire is off it.Why is my car surging after an oil change? 2000 Escort zx2?
I believe this vehicle is equipped with an air flow sensor and an air temp sensor. the ATS will be located in the air filter housing and the MAS will be located near the throttle body. make sure the put the air inlet hose on properly and hooked both these connectors back up.
