My car's engine oil light came on, can a oil change help?

Not the check oil light because my oil is full, but the light that looks like a tea pot and the image on the oil dipstick. The manual says it can be because the oil is not traveling to the engine fast enough. Can this be solved with an oil change and filter? My car's engine oil light came on, can a oil change help?
oil pump needs to be replaced....DONT DRIVE Engine will sieze up and car will be huge paperweightMy car's engine oil light came on, can a oil change help?
First off don't drive your car with the little ';Tea thing on'; it means your oil pump isn't pumping your car is about to blow up. Yes like the godfather. No oil change, it's real mechanic time not Jiffy Lube either. If you value your car at all you'll get it fixed fast. Yes there is oil there but it's not being pumped so it's like it's not there at all. Get your oil pump replaced ';Now';.
Oh no! Oil pressure is too low. DON'T DRIVE IT, or you will ruin the engine. Or ir might be a bad sensor, but it is not worth the risk, take it in now, an oil change probably will not help, unless you' havent had one in forever and the filter is badly plugged, but thats very unlikely.
