When you change your car oil, where do you take the old oil?

Do mechanic shops take it for free or for a charge...how much? When you change your car oil, where do you take the old oil?
I don't know where you live, but if there is a Wal-mart nearby you can take it to there automotive department/repair department. They will be able to take the used motor oil off your hands. It should be in a sealed container. Some ind. auto repair shops may also take the used oil. Call ahead. When you change your car oil, where do you take the old oil?
take it to AutoZone or Kragen
Autozone, kragen, costco, oil change places, or some cities have recycling programs where they come and collect used motor oil for recycling.
autozone, advance auto parts, o'reilly auto parts, etc. They all have oil recycling programs they belong to %26amp; they don't charge you to drop it off there.
I know that Wal-Mart use to take it, but I've been going to Pennzoil lately.

You may want to call your local Wal-Mart or auto lube stores and ask.
You should find all the information you need at your local library. Or you can drop off your used oil to a car shop or a car part store. A lot of people can help you with that. There a several places around where I live that takes it. But what I found to be the best source is the library, because they give you a container for the oil and the address to bring it by, but if that doesn't work, you can always search for it on yahoo, wherever you live.
