Does my car need an oil change after sitting in the shop for a month?

I was in an accident a month ago and my car has been in the shop since then. I had just changed the oil a couple of weeks prior to the accident, but am wondering if it needs another one after being inoperable for a month...what do you think?Does my car need an oil change after sitting in the shop for a month?
no, you should change your oil every 3-4 thousand milesDoes my car need an oil change after sitting in the shop for a month?
I wouldn't think it needs it. The best thing you can do for it is take it out on the freeway for an hour or so to bring it up to full operating temperature and let the heat chase out any condensed moisture in the valve cover(s) and PCV passages.
no, you go by miles not time, the reason some people say 3,000 miles or 3 months is just a way of getting more money out of you, you just go by time, but if the car was sitting for lets say 6 months to a year then i'd probably change the oil just in case but still might not have to, so you'll be fine without an oil change, nothing to worry about
No, dont change your oil.You would just wasting your money. If your not driving your car then it isnt doing any work.
No problem, the only thing you may want to check is the air cleaner element for body compound grinding dust.
It all depends on how far you have driven since the last oil change, since it hasn't been 3 months (and yes, oil WILL get dirty over that period of time from dirt particles that have either entered the engine or are left over from fuel igniting in the cylinders). If you have gone more than 3,000 miles since the last change, it is not in dire need for an oil change, but it is recommended, as that's enough usage of the engine to create more dirt buildup in the oil. Oil is meant to last up t about 7,000 miles between changes, but waiting that long will shorten the life of your engine as ';7,000 mile'; oil is many times dirtier than ';3,000 mile'; oil, and more dirt and debris will have circulated through your engine more times.
No NO NO!

Change your oil according to your manufacturer recommendations. Any more often is a waste of money and of natural resources.
No, it does not.
I'd imagine so.

Good luck with the repairs. I've been in an accident before and it took about a month to get out of the shop.
