What should you do with the oil you remove from a car during an oil change?

Pour it down the sewer drains....no seriously, you should take it back to where you bought the new oil. They may charge you a small HAZMAT fee, but it is better than contaminating the environment. What should you do with the oil you remove from a car during an oil change?
I take mine to oil change places, like jiffy lube, napa..etc...Any servie center should take it free of charge.

A lot of those service centers use the used oil in shop space heaters as fuel. You are doing them a favor as well as our environment.
